"You know, I have discussed this many times with you, and not only with you, that, in my opinion, until Ukraine exists in whatever quality Russia, correspondingly, will be in danger.
It is clear that not only Ukraine is a threat for Russia, but Ukraine is a direct permanent threat. Just because it is possible to make an agreement with Hungarians, with Poles, with Americans, with Mexicans, with anyone, even with penguins in Antarctica we may make an agreement, but it is not possible to make agreement with Russian people who have proclaimed themselves Ukrainians by denying everything Russian. This enemy is eschatological.
Therefore, to my mind, again, I do not know whether it will survive or not. Because this is, in particular, not even the issue of military actions in Ukraine, this is the issue of global policy. But, in my opinion, we should do our best to eliminate even memories about it."
